ARKON F1 is an early-maturing sh2 (super-sweet) hybrid sweet corn developed by Greentime. The vegetation period is about 66-73 days from emergence, which allows for a harvest in a short time. The plants are powerful, ranging in height from 180 to 220 cm, with high resistance to adverse growing conditions such as cold soil, heat, and drought. This makes the hybrid particularly suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including regions with variable weather.
The ears of ARKON F1 are cylindrical in shape, 23-25 cm long and 4.5-5.5 cm in diameter, well-covered with dark green covering leaves. The kernels are sun-yellow in color with a pleasant sheen, deep and rectangular, and differ in their high sugar content — 16-18% on the BRIX scale, which ensures an excellent sweet taste without a starchy aftertaste. A high percentage of marketable ears yield — up to two full-sized ears per plant — contributes to the high yield of the hybrid.
ARKON F1 is intended for fresh consumption and processing. Harvested ears can be stored for up to two weeks at 18-20°C, maintaining taste and quality. The hybrid also possesses resistance to helminthosporiosis, which reduces disease risks and simplifies crop care. The recommended sowing rate varies depending on growing conditions, which allows optimizing yield in different agro-climatic zones.
