SV 1446 SD

SV 1446 SD F1 is an early generation hybrid of super-sweet Sh2-type sugar corn, developed by the breeding company Seminis from the Netherlands. The vegetative period is 75-77 days, which allows for harvest in relatively short time. The plant is characterized by good growth vigor, resistance to diseases and pests, as well as the ability to develop actively even under dense planting. The hybrid is undemanding to growing conditions and easy to care for, making it suitable for both industrial production and small-scale farms.

SV 1446 SD corn cobs form two uniform and well-covered ears with a length of 20-22 cm and a diameter of 5-5.5 cm. The average weight of one cob is 350-380 grams. The kernels are large, shiny, bright yellow, deeply seated in the cobs, juicy, and have a high sugar content, which provides an excellent sweet taste. The cover leaves are a rich green color, giving the cobs an attractive appearance, which facilitates rapid realization of the product on the fresh market.

The SV 1446 SD hybrid is intended for growing in open and closed ground, suitable for the fresh market, processing, home cooking, and freezing. It is optimally suitable for mechanized harvest due to the uniformity and alignment of the cobs. The recommended sowing rate is 60-65 thousand plants per hectare, which ensures high yield and product quality.
