Zukovsky cucumber is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid intended for cultivation under plastic coverings in private households. The plant is weakly branched, female-flowering, with one to three female flowers per node. Leaves are small, light green. Cucumbers are short with short necks, oval-shaped, dark green with short stripes, large-scaled, densely covered with white hairs, weighing approximately 90 grams. The fruit flavor is excellent, making this variety suitable for both fresh consumption and canning.
Fruiting begins on the 49th day after emergence of full seedlings, ensuring an early harvest. Marketable yield reaches 7.2 kg per square meter. The variety shows high resistance to diseases such as cladosporiosis, fusarium, cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) type 1, powdery mildew (PM), and is tolerant to false powdery mildew (FPM), significantly simplifying care and enhancing cultivation reliability.
Zhukovsky is ideal for salad and canning purposes due to its excellent flavor and firm fruit structure. Compact plants with strong root systems provide stable and early yields, making this variety attractive for gardeners aiming to obtain quality cucumbers in a short time.
