Cucumber VX 1 C

Early-ripening cucumber for open field cultivation

The Russian breeding brand "Ваше хозяйство" focuses on reliability and adaptability to changing climates. The VX 1 C hybrid is a prominent representative of parthenocarpic cucumbers, designed for those seeking a consistent yield without the hassle of insect pollination. Due to its vegetative growth habit, the plant shows excellent recovery ability, which is critical for open-field growing conditions.

Agrotechnical features

This hybrid belongs to the ultra-early category: it takes less than 40 days from full germination to the first harvest. This pace allows growers to harvest before the typical peak of crop diseases. VX 1 C fruits possess classic gherkin characteristics:

• Fruit length: 7–9 cm — an ideal size for pickling and canning.
• Texture: finely tubercled surface with small spines.
• Weight: stable 100–110 grams.
• Color: vibrant green that remains consistent even under intense sunlight.

The hybrid's reputation is built on its low-maintenance nature. VX 1 C successfully adapts to temperature fluctuations, making it a reliable choice for home gardens and small farms. The vegetative plant type implies active leaf growth, which effectively shades the fruits from scorching rays, preventing premature yellowing of the cucumbers.

Application and yield

The primary use for VX 1 C is fresh consumption and processing. Thanks to its dense, crunchy flesh without internal voids, this cucumber is excellent for marinades. The lack of need for pollination makes it an essential choice for regions with cool summers, where bee activity might be limited.
