Description Turmalin
The sweet pepper hybrid Turmalin F1 is an early-maturing variety with a vegetative period from seedling transplanting to technical ripeness of 55-60 days and biological ripeness of 70-75 days. It is a determinate type plant, tall and robust, with a strong stem and dense foliage that effectively protects the fruits from sunburn. The hybrid is well-adapted for cultivation in both polytunnels and glass greenhouses, as well as in open ground, preferring warm climates and regular watering, especially with drip irrigation.

Turmalin fruits have a cube-like shape with 3-4 chambers and a wall thickness of 7-8 mm, making them convenient for culinary use. In technical ripeness, the fruits are light olive or light salad green, and in biological ripeness, they turn bright yellow. The weight of one fruit varies from 150 to 210 grams. The hybrid is characterized by high yield and a pleasant sweet-tart flavor, making it popular in the fresh vegetable market.

Turmalin is resistant to diseases such as fusarium and verticillium, and also exhibits tolerance to tobacco mosaic and other common pepper diseases. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to choose soils previously cultivated with annual and perennial grasses, winter wheat, legumes, cucurbits, onions, and various cabbage species. Replanting pepper on the same site should be avoided for at least 3-4 years to prevent pathogen accumulation and ensure healthy plant development.
