Description
Fianchetto cucumber is a mid-season parthenocarpic hybrid with female flowering, intended for cultivation in private gardens during the winter-spring period. The plant is indeterminate, shade-tolerant, and resistant to powdery mildew, ensuring a stable and high yield even under insufficient lighting conditions. Due to its good adaptation to stressful weather conditions and light requirements, this variety is suitable for various climatic zones and cultivation methods.
Fianchetto cucumber fruits have a smooth, shiny surface, bright green color, and white spines. The zucchini, 9-12 cm long, feature dense, crisp flesh, absence of bitterness, and high flavor quality, making them ideal for fresh consumption and pickling. The plant forms 2-3 to 5-6 or more fruiting nodes, promoting prolonged and abundant fruiting.
The hybrid exhibits comprehensive resistance to major cucumber diseases, including powdery mildew, olive spot, cucumber mosaic virus, and root rot. Good lateral branch development and self-regulation of branching ensure stable yields under any conditions. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to prepare the soil through deep tillage, sowing in warmed soil, and regular watering during fruit set and fruit growth.
