Description
Cucumber 'Solaris' F1 is a modern hybrid developed for commercial cultivation in plastic greenhouses. This early-maturing parthenocarpic variety features an indeterminate growth habit and female flowering type, ensuring stable fruit formation. The plant possesses a strong root system and moderate vegetative activity, contributing to its resilience and high productivity under greenhouse conditions.
The fruits of cucumber 'Solaris' have an elongated-cylindrical shape with a short neck, smooth dark green skin with small spines, and weigh approximately 220-240 grams at a length of about 20 cm. The cucumbers are distinguished by their excellent taste, thin skin, and low seed content, making them particularly attractive for salad use. High market yield, reaching 20.7-21.3 kg/m² in plastic greenhouses and up to 57.6 kg/m² on greenhouse complexes, confirms the variety's effectiveness for industrial production.
Hybrid 'Solaris' exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including powdery mildew, zucchini yellow mosaic virus, cucumber vein yellowing virus, and cucumber mosaic virus. This allows for significantly reduced risk of crop loss and decreased need for chemical plant protection. Due to its characteristics and adaptability to various climatic conditions, variety 'Solaris' is widely used in vegetable farming and recommended for cultivation in all regions.
