Cucumber Kanalya F1 is an early parthenocarpic hybrid with female flowering type and cluster fruiting. The maturation period is 40-45 days after emergence of seedlings, allowing for a relatively quick harvest. The plant exhibits strong growth and forms numerous cluster fruits, each containing three or more fruits. Fruits are 8-10 cm long, with a finely ribbed surface and dense skin.
This hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching 16-18 kg per square meter, and versatility of use. Kanalya cucumbers have juicy, crisp flesh without bitterness, making them delicious both fresh and for canning. The plant grows well both in open ground and under plastic covers, showing resistance to diseases, shade tolerance, and ability to withstand temperature drops.
For successful cultivation, seedlings are recommended: seeds are sown in April into peat pots at a depth of 1.5 cm and germinated at a temperature of 20-23 degrees. Transplanting into the ground is carried out after the threat of frost has passed, following a 30x70 cm scheme. To ensure a good harvest, regular watering with warm water and application of mineral fertilizers are required.
