Cucumber variety Nerosimy 40 is a medium-maturing salad type that begins to bear fruit on the 43rd to 55th day after emergence of seedlings. The plant is characterized by a powerful main stem, 140 to 200 cm long and 2.0–2.3 cm thick. Cucumbers have elongated-oval shape, 9–12 cm long, 3–4 cm in diameter, and weigh 90 to 120 grams. Fruit color varies from green to light green, with a surface covered in large bumps and white spines, giving them an attractive appearance.
The variety is distinguished by high yield and resistance to a range of diseases, including olive spot, bacterial disease, and fungal infections. Cucumbers have good storability, do not yellow easily, and retain their market appearance, making them convenient for storage and transport. Due to these qualities, Nerosimy 40 is especially recommended for cultivation in open ground.
This variety was developed at the Voronezh Vegetable Experimental Station and is suitable for cultivation in most regions of Russia, except southern and southeastern areas. Its reliability and resistance to adverse conditions make it an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a stable and high-quality cucumber harvest.
