Maize Vasari

A Versatile Choice for Livestock and Grain Production

The Vasari corn hybrid from Monsanto represents classic American breeding, targeted at farmers seeking consistency under intensive cultivation conditions. The core competitive advantage of this hybrid lies in its plasticity: it performs equally well for high-quality silage production and high-yield grain harvesting.

Flint-Dent Grain Type: A Balanced Profile

The flint-dent grain type offers a significant advantage in logistics and storage. The kernel features a hard outer layer that provides resistance to field damage, while the starchy inner endosperm remains easily digestible for livestock. This makes Vasari an optimal choice for operations with in-house livestock cycles, ensuring a stable supply of high-nutrient forage.

Strengths and Considerations

• Strengths: High biomass yield makes it a standout choice for silage. The grain exhibits high test weight, simplifying post-harvest processing and storage. High adaptability to diverse soil types allows for risk mitigation when sowing on non-uniform fields.
• Considerations: Like most intensive Monsanto hybrids, Vasari requires strict adherence to nutritional programs. In low-fertility soils without appropriate base fertilization, the hybrid's full yield potential may not be realized.

Who is this hybrid for? Primarily for farmers who integrate crop production with cattle rearing. If you prioritize predictability, ease of threshing, and a balanced silage profile, Vasari serves as a reliable asset for your crop rotation.
