Corn KVS Tasco is a mid-early grain-type hybrid with an FAO index of 230 and a vegetation period of 105 to 115 days. This high-yielding variety has a potential yield of up to 150 centners per hectare and is adapted for cultivation in all climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe. Plants reach a height of 280–290 cm, with ears positioned at a height of 110–120 cm. Kernels are dent-shaped, arranged in 14 rows with 34–39 kernels per row, and the thousand-kernel weight is 300–320 grams. The hybrid features rapid moisture release, facilitating harvest and grain storage.
KVS Tasco is distinguished by high resistance to diseases, particularly to common rust, as well as to other pathogens, ensuring stable yields even under stressful and drought conditions. Plants have a semi-erect leaf type and are remontant, contributing to their resistance to lodging throughout the entire vegetation cycle. The hybrid responds well to modern agronomic practices but can also be successfully grown with minimal soil tillage, making it a versatile choice for various farms.
Recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture levels: under adequate moisture — 70,000 to 80,000 plants per hectare; under moderate moisture — 65,000 to 70,000; and under low moisture — 50,000 to 60,000. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, corn KVS Tasco is a reliable and efficient solution for obtaining high-quality grain yields with minimal costs.
