Maize PHTD 5

Maximizing Yield with the PH 5 Hybrid

The PH 5 maize hybrid from Corteva is designed for producers who prioritize operational efficiency and reliable harvest results. Developed by Pioneer s.a., this hybrid offers the flexibility needed to adapt to different soil types and moisture availability, making it a versatile tool for modern farming operations.

Optimizing Planting Density for Results

The performance of PH 5 is closely tied to managing stand density. To ensure success, consider the specific environmental conditions of your fields when planning your seeding rates:

• High-Yield Environments: Under favorable conditions with adequate irrigation or consistent moisture, a target density of 70,000 to 75,000 plants per hectare allows the crop to express its full genetic potential, ensuring maximum return on investment.
• Stress-Prone Areas: In regions with limited moisture or variable climate conditions, a more conservative density of 55,000 to 60,000 plants per hectare is recommended. This approach reduces plant-to-plant competition for soil nutrients and moisture, fostering greater resilience.

From a practical management perspective, the PH 5 hybrid is recognized for its consistent growth patterns. This uniformity is highly beneficial during the harvest phase, as it allows for optimized combine settings, reduces mechanical loss, and contributes to better overall grain quality. Choosing PH 5 from Corteva means integrating a proven, stable solution into your crop rotation, capable of translating effective agronomic inputs into consistent yield performance year after year.
