NPID 2598 X NPID 2530 is a medium-maturing, simple hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.), included in the State Register of the Russian Federation. This hybrid was developed by SYNGENTA CROP PROTECTION AG and is intended for cultivation in all regions of the country. The plant is characterized by high stature and medium leaf width, which contributes to good photosynthesis and crop development.
The leaves of the hybrid are slightly curved, with a small angle between the leaf blade and stem, ensuring compactness of the plant. Flowering of the tassel occurs at medium maturity, and anthocyanic root coloration at the stem and silk is weak or absent. The tassel has medium density of ears, with a long main axis forming a small angle with lateral branches. Primary lateral branches are curved and long, but their number is limited.
The ear of the hybrid is long, medium thickness, and weakly conical in shape with a short stalk. Kernels have an intermediate type, with the upper part colored yellow and the lower part in yellow-orange hue. The number of kernel rows is medium, and anthocyanic coloration of the ear's core is moderate. All these characteristics make NPID 2598 X NPID 2530 a resilient and productive hybrid, suitable for various agroclimatic conditions.
