Description KWS LIONEL
KWS LIONEL is a medium-early three-line hybrid corn with FAO 180, proven as a leader in grain yield within its maturity group. It is suitable for early planting and used both for grain and silage. The hybrid features a starchy grain type with high starch content — around 74% — ensuring high-quality harvest. Yield potential reaches 120 centners per hectare, making it an attractive choice for farmers seeking maximum productivity.

KWS LIONEL plants reach a height of 260 to 300 cm, with ears positioned at 100-110 cm. The number of rows varies from 14 to 16, with 30 to 36 kernels per row. The hybrid exhibits the Stay Green effect, which helps maintain green mass over a longer period and improves silage quality. This variety has medium or fast moisture shedding, facilitating harvest and reducing yield loss risks.

A key feature of KWS LIONEL is its high stem strength, especially under damage from corn borer, as well as good cold tolerance and resistance to diseases and adverse climatic conditions. Recommended planting density at harvest is 75-80 thousand plants per hectare under favorable conditions and 55-60 thousand under less favorable conditions. All these characteristics make KWS LIONEL a versatile and reliable hybrid suitable for cultivation in various regions and conditions.
