Maize KV 1 G 908

Crop stability in demanding conditions

When working with KWS, you expect predictability, and the KWS 1 G 908 hybrid does not disappoint. In field operations, this is a robust plant that requires minimal intervention if a sound protection scheme is in place. Issues with common smut are virtually non-existent, which keeps the fungicide budget under control.

Key agronomic advantages

• High resistance threshold against Helminthosporium and Fusarium.
• Excellent adaptability: performs well for both grain and silage production.
• SH2 hybrid type: high sugar content, which is critical for high-quality silage.

Operating with KWS 1 G 908 is straightforward: the hybrid shows stable growth and efficient dry-down. For grain production, this translates into lower drying costs, while for silage, it ensures a balanced feed with high energy density. The hybrid effectively resists stalk rot, which simplifies crop management in regions with high infection pressure.

Practical maintenance tips

Despite its strong genetic resistance, KWS 1 G 908 reaches its full potential when seeding density is managed correctly. This is not a crop to be overcrowded; the hybrid thrives when given enough space to develop its root system. For an agronomist, it is a reliable tool that provides predictable results with minimal risks of quality loss due to diseases.
