Maize KR 720 MV

Stability from the National Grain Center

The KR 720 MV corn hybrid is the product of long-term breeding efforts by the P.P. Lukyanenko National Grain Center. In today’s competitive agricultural market, this mid-to-late maturing hybrid occupies a niche for producers focused on consistent grain yields. Its genetic potential is fully realized in regions with sufficient active temperatures, where the hybrid displays resilience against challenging field conditions.

A Robust Phytosanitary Barrier

A key advantage of KR 720 MV is its strong genetic resistance to the most critical pathogens that typically undermine the profitability of corn production. The hybrid demonstrates a high level of resistance to:

• Fusarium stalk and ear rot — minimizing the risk of damage even during seasons with high humidity throughout the ripening period.
• Common smut — allowing the preservation of cob structure and ensuring high-quality, marketable grain.

These traits make this hybrid a reliable solution for farmers seeking to reduce the fungicide load on their fields. The variety is geared toward intensive cultivation technologies, where yield potential is directly linked to timely agrotechnical practices and precise mineral fertilization.

Market Positioning and Strategy

The developer, the Krasnodar National Grain Center, traditionally emphasizes adaptability to climatic stressors. KR 720 MV is positioned as a dependable choice for farms balancing high productivity with strict phytosanitary requirements. Due to its inherent biological resistance, it remains a valuable asset for zones with high pathogen pressure, where standard hybrids may suffer yield losses of 20-30% due to disease impact.
