Corn seeds of the 'Sofya M' variety are a high-yielding, mid-season hybrid with a maturity group of FAO 430, intended for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe regions. The plant reaches a height of 280-300 cm, has a cylindrical ear 24-26 cm long with 14-16 rows of kernels, each row containing 40-45 kernels. The kernels are toothed, yellow-orange in color, with a 1000-kernel weight of 320-350 g, and a grain yield of 82-84% after milling.

The hybrid exhibits good early growth and high response to improved growing conditions, including mineral fertilization and irrigation. It possesses high resistance to major diseases and pests, as well as excellent heat and drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climatic conditions. It also shows high lodging resistance, which helps preserve yield.

Sofya M is versatile in application: suitable for producing high-quality grain, especially when harvested late, as well as for silage production. The recommended planting density is 40-45 thousand plants per hectare in steppe regions and 60-70 thousand in forest-steppe regions. The potential yield of the hybrid reaches 140 centners per hectare, ensuring high economic efficiency in cultivation.
