Corn DKS 2960 is a mid-early hybrid with FAO 250, featuring high yield and a strong root system. Plants reach a height of 200-240 cm, with ear attachment height of 90-100 cm. The ear has a conical-cylindrical shape, 18-20 cm long and 3.5-4.0 cm in diameter, with 14-16 rows of kernels, each containing 26-28 kernels, totaling 370-450 kernels per ear. The kernel type is cream-toothed, yellow-orange in color, with a 1000-kernel weight of 310-320 g, ensuring high starch content.
The hybrid exhibits a regenerative stem, leaf, and root type, manifested in green stems at maturity and a robust root system. These features provide high resistance to lodging and stable yields. Early flowering and high adaptability to dense planting make DKS 2960 suitable for various cultivation technologies, including early planting at soil temperatures of 10°C or higher.
The recommended plant density at harvest is 75-85 thousand/ha in well-watered zones and 65-70 thousand/ha in less watered zones. The hybrid is suitable for grain and silage production, as well as for processing into grits, expanding its application potential in agriculture. Optimal harvest timing ensures maximum preservation of quality and yield.
