Description DB Lada
DB Lada is a three-line early-maturing hybrid of sweet corn with FAO 190, developed by the Institute of Grain Crops of NAAN Ukraine and produced by PSC 'Kолос'. This hybrid belongs to the remontant type and is characterized by a strong anthocyanic stem, which ensures high resistance to diseases and pests. Plants reach a height of 220-230 cm, ears are attached at a height of 80-90 cm and have a length of 20-21 cm. The grain is yellow, cream-colored with a toothed appearance, with a 1000-grain weight of 260-270 g and a grain yield of 81-82%. The hybrid exhibits accelerated spring development and high cold tolerance, allowing it to withstand late frosts well. Moreover, DB Lada has high heat and drought resistance, which is uncommon for early-maturing hybrids, ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions. The potential yield ranges from 70-75 c/ha in the Steppe to over 100 c/ha in the Polissia, confirming its adaptability and effectiveness across different agro-climatic zones. The recommended plant density at harvest varies by region: 60,000/ha for the Steppe, 80,000/ha for the Forest Steppe, and 90,000/ha for the Polissia. Thanks to its agronomic and morphological characteristics, as well as resistance to adverse factors, DB Lada is a reliable choice for growing high-quality grain under various natural-climatic conditions in Ukraine.
