Danubio sweet corn is a powerful and well-balanced intensive type hybrid with very high yield potential. Plants reach a height of 280-320 cm, with ears positioned at 100-120 cm. Each ear develops 14 to 18 rows of kernels, with 34 to 42 kernels per row, totaling 400 to 760 kernels per ear. The 1000-kernel weight varies between 320-400 g, indicating large and dense kernels.
The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to stress conditions and drought, ensuring stable yields even under adverse climatic conditions. High early growth energy promotes rapid plant formation and adaptation to the environment. Additionally, Danubio has a high starch content in kernels — around 73.3%, and protein content at 9.9%, making it valuable for food processing and grain production.
For planting, soil moisture level should be considered: under optimal moisture, the seeding rate is 75,000-80,000 seeds per hectare; under suboptimal conditions, 65,000-70,000 seeds per hectare. Yield performance has been confirmed in various regions, reaching 82 to 115 c/ha, confirming its high productivity and adaptability.
