Cabbage EMERALD MAGIC

A Compact Standard for the Fresh Market

"Izumrudnoye Volshebstvo" (Emerald Magic) is the response from the breeders at Geterozisnaya Selektsiya to the needs of growers who prefer practical, manageable yields over oversized, labor-intensive heads. This white cabbage variety focuses on the niche of small, portion-sized heads, making it highly attractive for fresh market sales and home culinary use.

Key Characteristics and Advantages

Unlike traditional mid-late varieties bred for long-term storage, this variety wins through its aesthetics and flavor profile. Neat, round, gray-green heads weighing between 0.5 and 1.0 kg are perfect for single-meal portions, eliminating the problem of leftovers cluttering the refrigerator.

• Culinary Versatility: Due to its tender leaf structure, the cabbage is excellent for fresh salads and quick processing (fermentation or heat treatment).
• Exceptional Uniformity: The development team led by Aliluev, Shtainert, and Teplova has ensured a highly consistent crop, minimizing variations in size and maturity.
• Space Efficiency: Its compact size allows for tighter plant spacing, maximizing the output per square meter of your field or garden.

Who is this variety for?

If you are looking for a variety meant for industrial storage until late spring, this may not be your first choice. Its strength lies in immediate turnover and satisfying customers who value convenience and quality. It is an optimal choice for farmers supplying premium markets or retail stands where buyers prefer "individual-sized" produce. This variety is best suited for operations that prioritize high product turnover and a visually appealing, uniform appearance at the point of sale.
