ARARAT

"Ararat" is a heat-loving variety of basil with an early maturity period, distinguished by its rich dark purple stem and leaf coloration. Plants reach a height of 25-40 cm and have a medium maturity period of about 70-75 days from seedling emergence. The leaves have an ovate shape with small serrations along the edges and feature a sharper taste compared to tender green varieties. The aroma of this purple basil is pronounced, spicy, and slightly pungent, making it an exquisite seasoning for various dishes.

The "Ararat" variety is versatile in application: it is perfect for adding to salads, meat and fish dishes, and is indispensable for vegetable canning. Thanks to its rich color and aroma, basil retains its flavor qualities well during freezing. Additionally, the plant recovers quickly after cutting—new shoots grow back within 21-25 days, providing a constant source of fresh greens.

"Ararat" can be grown both in open ground and at home—in pots, containers, on loggias and balconies. This makes the variety convenient for use in various climatic conditions and allows for having fresh basil at hand year-round.
