Balsam — a new type of eggplant — clustered. Up to 3-7 fruits form in clusters! The fruit is an elongated ellipse with a striking purple color, dense, tasty white flesh. Fruits weigh 50-130 g, measuring 10-17×3-6 cm, completely thornless with thin skin. Early maturing variety, begins fruiting on day 85-100 after emergence. High fruit load per plant — up to 50-100 depending on growing conditions. Resistant to flower drop and tobacco mosaic virus. Plant height in polyethylene greenhouses: 80-130 cm.
