Summer Night

Summer Night is a perennial shrub aster distinguished by its unique appearance and long flowering period. The plant grows up to 120–140 cm in height and 70–90 cm in width, forming a dense bush with broad leaves and a thick inflorescence. The flowers measure 3–4 cm, are semi-double or simple, with bright white coloring and a large yellow disk. They do not close at night and remain open even in a vase, making them especially attractive for decorative compositions.

Flowering begins in mid-August and lasts until October-November, providing a long period of colorful appearance in the garden. The "Summer Night" aster is frost-hardy and resistant to pests and diseases, allowing it to grow well on various soil types – from light to neutral-rich.

For planting, it is recommended to choose a deep hole that is 1.5–2 times wider than the root ball of the seedling, fill it with a mixture of garden soil, peat, and wood ash, and add a complex mineral fertilizer. After planting, it is necessary to water well and mulch the soil to retain moisture. The aster quickly gains vegetative mass after transplanting, so it should be divided every 3–4 years to prevent excessive growth.

This variety is ideal for group plantings with coniferous and deciduous shrubs, as well as in natural style flowerbeds. Its bright white-yellow inflorescences create a contrast with the green leaves of other plants and add a special atmosphere to an autumn garden or balcony. When planting "Summer Night" in compositions, one can achieve a harmonious combination of colors and textures, making it an indispensable element of decorative landscaping.
