Aster Goddess

Practical insights on growing the 'Boginya' aster

When working with perennial cultures, predictability is the top priority. The 'Boginya' variety, developed by the 'Kapris' farm (originated by Vyacheslav Vasilyevich Shepelev), is one of those cases where the plant saves you from the annual hassle of digging, re-sowing, and replanting. In demanding climate conditions, it behaves like a reliable asset: it winters successfully without the need for heavy protection, which is crucial for those looking to avoid labor-intensive gardening.

Agrotechnics and Winter Hardiness

The main value of this variety lies in its perennial nature. Unlike annual asters that require starting from seedlings every spring, 'Boginya' only demands attention during the initial weeks of rooting. Following seasons are limited to standard pruning and seasonal maintenance. Its winter hardiness is not just a marketing claim but a result of adaptation to local soils, ensuring the root system survives even through harsh winters.

Performance in the Garden

• Application: Perfect for creating stable floral arrays. Unlike finicky species, this variety maintains its structure within the flowerbed consistently.
• Maintenance: Minimal. Standard fertilization and watering during dry spells are sufficient for lush blooming.
• Development: The variety shows consistent growth. The bush does not "fall apart" and maintains its decorative appeal throughout the entire flowering cycle.

If you are looking for planting material for low-maintenance flowerbeds, 'Boginya' from 'Kapris' farm is a rational choice. It eliminates the need for annual replanting and adapts perfectly to open-ground conditions, ensuring a reliable result for years to come.
