Description
MALINKA is an annual plant from the aster group, characterized by powerful upright stems reaching 50 to 80 cm in height and a compact bush about 40 cm wide. The flowers are double, large, with a diameter of 8 to 13 cm, featuring a rich raspberry or pink hue. A single plant can form up to 20 flower heads arranged spherically, creating an effective decorative appearance. Blooming is abundant and prolonged, lasting from July to November, making MALINKA an excellent choice for decorating flower beds, borders, and flower gardens, as well as for cutting into bouquets.
The plant prefers sunny locations and withstands short-term frosts, indicating its cold hardiness. MALINKA can grow on various soil types, however, it does not tolerate waterlogging or drought, so it is important to ensure good drainage and regular, but moderate watering. For cultivation, seedling or direct sowing methods are recommended. Seeds are sown in March-April in trays or boxes at a depth of about 0.5 cm, pre-soaking them in a solution of trace elements or growth stimulants to improve germination. After seedlings appear, maintain a temperature of about 15 degrees and ensure intense lighting, avoiding sharp temperature fluctuations.
Transplanting seedlings to open ground is conducted in May at a distance of 20-30 cm between plants. For direct sowing in open ground, seeds are sown in late April or May. It is important to remember that seedlings are sensitive to soil drying out, excessive moisture, and sharp temperature changes. Cut flowers maintain freshness in water for 14-18 days, making MALINKA in demand for floristics and ornamental gardening.
