Description Amphion
Watermelon Amphion — a new early hybrid with a vegetation period of 60-70 days, characterized by high yield and excellent fruit quality. The plant is very strong and develops well both in open fields and under cover, ensuring stable growth and formation of large fruits. The hybrid shows tolerance to Fusarium, enhancing its disease resistance and helping to maintain yield.

Fruits of Amphion are large, oval-shaped, with an average weight of 10 to 12 kg, and under favorable conditions may reach 14-16 kg. The rind is green with white stripes, and the flesh is a rich red color, juicy and dense. The fruits do not yellow during ripening, allowing them to retain their market appearance and appeal for a longer period. The flesh contains a small amount of small seeds, making the watermelon convenient for consumption.

One of the key advantages of Amphion is its high sugar content — 11-13% on the Brix scale — which ensures a sweet and rich flavor of the fruits. The recommended planting density is 8-10 thousand plants per hectare, which is optimal for achieving maximum yield while preserving quality. Due to its characteristics, the watermelon Amphion is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions and will be an excellent choice for farmers and gardeners seeking an early and high-quality harvest.
