BLUE HOARFROST

Blue Hoarfrost – a compact annual ageratum reaching 15 to 20 cm in height, which quickly fills space with bright blue inflorescences about 1–2 cm in diameter. The plant forms dense spherical heads that cover almost the entire plant and ensures abundant flowering from June until the first frosts. Leaves are small, heart-shaped, and dark green, giving the plant a neat appearance.

Blue Hoarfrost is easy to grow both in open ground and in containers: it prefers sunny or slightly shaded areas, light, fertile soil with good drainage. Watering is moderate, but especially important during the flowering period – moist soil promotes a more vibrant flower color. To stimulate prolonged flowering, it is recommended to remove withered inflorescences and carry out 2–3 fertilizations with a complex mineral fertilizer during the season.

This plant is ideal for creating low borders, flower beds, container pots, and boxes on a balcony. Due to its compactness and drought and heat resistance, Blue Hoarfrost becomes a bright accent in small gardens, terraces, and patios. When planting several bushes next to low-growing marigolds or calendula, you can get an effective color spot that will please the eye until the first cold.
