Regular but moderate watering is required during the active growth phase, especially during flowering. As autumn approaches, watering should be gradually reduced to help the plant enter its dormancy phase, where rhizomes prefer drier conditions.

For successful growth, apply balanced mineral fertilizers monthly from spring through mid-summer. These nutrients are vital for developing strong flower stalks and healthy leaf rosettes, which define the plant's ornamental appeal.
