The life cycle of a Dytiscidae beetle includes egg, larval, pupal, and adult stages. Females typically insert their eggs into the submerged tissues of aquatic plants. The larvae undergo several molts before leaving the water to pupate in damp soil at the pond margins, making their life cycle adaptable to various environmental conditions in water facilities.
