Cheetah is an early-maturing, high-yield zucchini variety that begins bearing fruit 38-45 days after germination. The plants are bushy and compact, which eases care and allows for efficient use of planting area. The fruits are pear-shaped, 12-15 cm long and weighing 0.7-0.9 kg, featuring a uniform shape and thin skin. The flesh is light, tender, dense, and juicy, with excellent taste and nutritional qualities.
The Cheetah variety is characterized by high yield—up to 8-9 kg per square meter—as well as resistance to diseases and temperature fluctuations. The fruits store and transport well, making this variety convenient for growing both in home conditions and for commercial use. Thanks to the compactness of the plants and prolonged fruiting, harvest can be collected regularly, which promotes further fruit formation.
Cheetah is recommended for home cooking, preparing winter snacks, freezing, as well as for canning and pickling due to the small size of the fruits. For growing, seeds are sown in the open ground by 2-3 pieces per hole with subsequent thinning to one plant. Seedling method is possible with transplanting of 20-30-day seedlings after the threat of frost has passed. Plants require timely watering, weeding, loosening, and feeding to achieve maximum yield.
