LG Zebra

LG Zebra is an elite winter six-row barley variety with early maturity, characterized by high yield and resistance. It possesses genetic resistance to barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV) and exhibits high thousand-grain weight, indicating high-quality seed material. Average plant height is 80–85 cm, ensuring optimal growth and yield formation.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging (8 points), winter hardiness (7.5 points), and drought tolerance (8 points), making it low-maintenance and suitable for cultivation on various soils and after different preceding crops. LG Zebra also demonstrates high resistance to major barley diseases, such as helminthosporium, rhihospore, powdery mildew, and yellow rust, which contributes to healthy crops and stable yields.

The potential yield of this variety reaches 8.5 tons per hectare, making it attractive for farmers seeking high productivity. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions. Seed material is supplied in 40 kg bags, produced by the European breeding company Limagrain and intended for the 2024 harvest.
