Watermelon variety 'Sotnik' belongs to a unique collection of early watermelon varieties specially selected for cultivation in open ground in Ukraine. This mix includes diverse varieties with different fruit coloration — ranging from striped and nearly black to light green and white, with numerous pattern variations. The plants are compact, medium-statured, heat- and drought-tolerant, making them ideal for various climatic conditions in the region.
Fruits from this mix vary in size and ripening time. Ripening periods range from ultra-early to early-maturing, allowing harvest throughout the entire melon season. Fruit weight ranges from small portions of 1–1.5 kg to large 3–6 kg fruits, satisfying both those who prefer smaller watermelons and those who prefer larger ones.
Seeds are supplied in packs of 100 and are recommended for sowing until November 2027.
