Batukan F1

The Batukan F1 watermelon is a universal early hybrid of the Crimson Sweet type, developed by Dutch breeders of Syngenta Seeds. The vegetation period of this variety is 63-65 days, allowing for early harvests both in greenhouses and in open fields. The fruits have an oval-round shape, with an average weight of 9-11 kg. The medium-thick rind has a classic green color with dark stripes, providing good protection against ultraviolet radiation and mechanical damage. The plant features strong stems and a well-developed root system, promoting stable fruit set and high yields — up to 80 tons per hectare.

The flesh is bright red, dense, crisp, seedless, with minimal seeds. Dry matter content reaches 12%, imparting a honey-like flavor and high sugar content — up to 10-11%. Due to these qualities, Batukan F1 is ideal for fresh consumption and is in demand on agricultural markets. The fruits have good storability and transportability, allowing them to maintain quality during long-term storage and transportation.

The variety is heat-tolerant and resistant to stressful conditions, including infrequent watering, and responds well to drip irrigation. This makes it suitable for various agronomic practices.
