Vospominaniye is a high-yielding cherry variety developed through selection involving the varieties Griot Ostgaimsky and Valeriy Chkalov. Trees of this variety are medium-sized with a broad-oval crown, ensuring good growth and fruiting. The fruits are dark red, flat-round in shape, and weigh about 9-10 grams. The flesh is sweet, without acidity, and has a distinct cherry-cherry aroma, making this variety particularly attractive to consumers. The harvest period falls in the last decade of June, allowing for use in early summer.
The variety is characterized by high storability and transportability, facilitating storage and long-distance transportation. The trees have good immunity and are resistant to frost and drought, making them suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Vospominaniye is self-sterile, so for successful pollination, it is recommended to plant pollinator varieties such as Griot Ostgaimsky and Vladimirskaya alongside. The yield is moderate, but under favorable conditions, it can reach high levels.
For planting and caring for trees, select sunny locations protected from wind with neutral or slightly alkaline soil (pH 6.5-7). Avoid acidic soils and proximity to groundwater. In spring, before planting, improve the soil by applying organic and mineral fertilizers. Regular pruning helps form a proper crown and increases yield. To protect against pests and diseases such as coccomycosis and cherry shoot moth, conduct preventive treatments and use protective nets to prevent bird damage to the fruit.
