Tomato Samson

Field Performance of the Samson Tomato Variety

When selecting a tomato variety for commercial farming in Ukraine, reliability is key. The determinate tomato variety "Samson," developed by PMP "Tyras," is a workhorse for growers who value consistent performance. With a maturation period of 90-100 days, this variety allows for precise harvest planning, avoiding the risks associated with late-season weather fluctuations.

Agronomy and Handling

From an operator's perspective, "Samson" is highly manageable. Its determinate growth habit prevents the vines from becoming unmanageable, making cultivation, pest control, and harvesting much more efficient. The fruit, weighing 80-100 grams, features a classic round shape and a vibrant red color, which are essential for both fresh market appeal and processing quality.

• Yield Potential: Under optimal conditions, yields reach 70-100 tons per hectare.
• Uniformity: Excellent fruit uniformity reduces post-harvest sorting labor significantly.
• Market Readiness: The fruit's durability and standard size make it a favorite for wholesalers and retailers alike.

Operating a field planted with "Samson" requires standard agricultural practices. The seeds, supplied by the experts at PMP "Tyras," show high germination energy, leading to uniform plant stands. Because the plants do not require excessive pruning, labor costs per hectare remain manageable throughout the growing cycle. Whether you are managing small plots or large industrial fields, "Samson" provides the stability required to achieve high-tonnage results without unnecessary complications.
