POTATO RED

Potato Red is an early-maturing tomato variety that ripens in 80-95 days from germination to fruiting. The plant is determinate, compact, and grows up to 25-50 cm tall, making it ideal for container cultivation on windowsills, balconies, or in open ground under temporary cover. The flowers are simple and intermediate, 18-28 cm long, ensuring compactness and ease of harvest.

The fruits are round and slightly elongated, weighing from 30 to 85 grams, with 2-3 chambers. Their color ranges from red-pink to bright red, and the flesh has a pink-red hue. The tomatoes have an appetizing aroma and honey-like flavor, making them excellent for fresh consumption. Due to their jointed pedicels, the fruits detach easily from the plant, which is convenient for harvesting.

Potato Red is suitable for various uses: fresh eating, pickling, and whole-fruit canning. Sowing for seedlings is recommended in March to early April, with transplanting occurring at the stage of the first true leaf. Seedlings are planted in the ground in early to mid-May or late May to early June. The yield of this variety is about 1.5 kg per plant, making it productive and convenient for home cultivation.
