Tomato Ogorodnik is a medium-early hybrid determinate variety, characterized by low maintenance and high yield. Plants are low-growing, reaching about 60 cm in open ground and up to 1.5 m in greenhouse conditions. The plant is dense and bushy, requiring no pinching, which significantly simplifies care. Flowers are simple, with up to 7 fruits per cluster, ensuring abundant fruiting. The variety is resistant to common diseases, making it a reliable choice for gardeners. Tomato Ogorodnik fruits have a bright pink color and an oval-elongated shape, resembling a cap—hence the name of the variety. Fruit weight reaches up to 200 grams, they are multi-chambered with more than six seed cavities. The fruit skin is smooth, thin, and of medium density, while the flesh is juicy and succulent. Due to high sugar content, the fruits have a sweet and pleasant taste, making them versatile for various uses. Tomato Ogorodnik is suitable for cultivation in open ground, as well as under plastic coverings or in greenhouses. The maturity period is approximately 98-105 days from sowing to the first harvest.
