Tomato NUNEMCS 1618

A Pro's Choice for Pink Tomato Production

Working with Nunhems 1618 means focusing on high-volume, high-quality production. As an indeterminate hybrid, it requires consistent pruning and training, but the return—yielding 160–190 tons per hectare—justifies every hour spent in the rows. This isn’t a low-maintenance variety; it’s a high-performance machine that rewards diligent growers with 200g+ fruits, provided the feeding program is on point.

Disease Resistance as a Competitive Edge

The real value of Nunhems 1618 lies in its robust genetics. The resistance package—covering Fusarium, Verticillium, Cladosporium, and Tomato Mosaic Virus—significantly reduces the need for constant chemical interventions. The plant's vigor is excellent, with substantial foliage cover protecting the fruits from sunscald, which is essential for maintaining that perfect pink color that fetches a premium price.

Marketability and Yield

With a 90-day maturity window, this variety fits perfectly into a tight production schedule. The round, 3-4 chambered fruits are dense enough to handle logistics without bruising, ensuring that what you harvest actually reaches the end consumer in great condition. Whether you are running a high-tech greenhouse or an intensive field operation with drip irrigation, this hybrid shows remarkable consistency and response to balanced fertilization, making it a reliable staple for any commercial grower.
