Mei Shuai

Mei Shuai is an early indeterminate tomato hybrid developed by Seminis, intended for cultivation in polyethylene and glass greenhouses. The vegetation period is approximately 60-65 days, allowing for early harvest. The plant is robust, compact, and well-leafed, with medium-statured bushes, balanced and easily adaptable to various growing conditions. With proper agronomic practices, such as pinching above the 5th-6th trusses and leaving 4-5 fruits per truss, yield can be significantly increased.

Mei Shuai fruits are flat-round, weighing 200-260 grams, with a rich pink color and glossy finish, free of green spots at the base. They are firm, multi-chambered, and resistant to cracking, ensuring excellent storability — up to two weeks without loss of quality. Thanks to these characteristics, tomatoes are well-suited for fresh markets and supermarkets, with high transportability and appealing appearance.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to a wide range of diseases, including Fusarium and Verticillium wilt, tomato mosaic virus, yellow leaf curl virus, Fusarium crown and root rot, Alternaria stem canker, brown and gray leaf spot, and nematodes. Additionally, Mei Shuai tolerates stressful conditions such as high and low temperatures, heat, and drought, making it a versatile and reliable choice for various climatic conditions.
