Tomato LAPILLO F1 (CRX 71888)

Genetic Potential and Agronomic Features of Lapillo F1

The German breeding program from Agri-Saaten focuses on the Lapillo F1 (CRX 71888) model as a balance between cultivation efficiency and produce quality. This determinate hybrid was engineered for conditions where yield stability under minimal stress factors is paramount.

Phytosanitary Profile and Protection

The key advantage of this hybrid is its built-in genetic resistance to the most aggressive soil-borne pathogens. Agri-Saaten specialists have incorporated resistance to:

• Verticillium wilt, allowing the plant's vascular system to remain functional even at high soil temperatures.
• Fusarium wilt, a critical factor for regions with intensive vegetable crop rotation.

In practical terms, this leads to reduced expenditure on fungicide treatments during the active growing season.

Fruit Morphology and Marketability

Lapillo F1 produces fruits weighing 40-60 grams with a pronounced round geometry. This size is optimal for whole-peel canning and mechanical harvesting. The dense structure of the skin ensures a high yield of marketable produce during transportation, and the red color retains its vibrancy even after short-term storage. With a maturation period of 100-120 days, the hybrid falls into the mid-season category, allowing for systematic staggered harvesting throughout the season.
