Tomato HAINZ 9661

The Industry Standard in Processing Tomatoes

Heinzseed's «HEINZ 9661» is a premier industrial-grade tomato variety, engineered by Kraft Heinz specifically for large-scale agricultural operations. It represents a generation of genetics focused on balancing high-volume output with the physical robustness required for modern mechanized harvesting.

Performance and Crop Profile

This determinate hybrid is designed to perform in intensive cultivation systems, reaching maturity within 100–120 days. The plants produce uniform, blocky fruits weighing between 40 and 100 grams. This specific sizing and structural integrity make the variety highly suitable for mechanical harvest, ensuring the fruit remains intact and durable during transit to processing facilities.

Disease Resistance and Market Utility

One of the primary reasons for the widespread adoption of HEINZ 9661 is its defensive genetic profile. The variety offers significant resistance to major soil-borne and foliar diseases, including:

• Verticillium wilt
• Fusarium wilt (races 1, 2)
• Bacterial spot

Beyond field performance, the fruit maintains excellent shelf life, staying market-ready for over 30 days post-harvest. With yield potential reaching 70–100 tons per hectare, HEINZ 9661 remains a competitive choice for producers supplying the canning and tomato paste industry, offering both reliability and consistent technical quality.
