Tomato Stacatto F1

Staccato F1: Professional performance in greenhouse production

Selecting a hybrid for professional cultivation is always about balancing yield with stress resilience. The indeterminate tomato Staccato F1 from the Dutch breeders Bejo is a reliable tool for growers who value predictability. Over a 90-100 day cycle, this hybrid demonstrates stable development, responding well to standard cultivation practices and showing excellent adaptation to greenhouse environments.

High resilience to common pathogens

The primary advantage of Staccato F1 for any farm manager is its genetic resistance to a complex of diseases that often cripple greenhouse crops. The hybrid shows strong tolerance to Fusarium and Verticillium wilt, as well as Tomato Mosaic Virus and Cladosporium. This resistance allows for the optimization of spray schedules, reducing expenditure on fungicides and minimizing the overall chemical load, which is a key requirement for modern quality production.

Marketability and ease of handling

The flattened-round fruits, weighing between 100 and 150 grams, are the ideal size for fresh market distribution. They feature an attractive deep red color and excellent shelf life. For the harvesting crew, the uniformity of the fruits within the clusters is a significant benefit, ensuring minimal waste and high grading efficiency. With proper pruning and vertical training, the plant maintains strong growth vigor and consistent yields throughout the entire harvest period.
