The AZOV tomato is a medium-early indeterminate hybrid with a maturation period of 111 to 115 days. The plant is strong, vigorous, reaching up to 2 meters in height, and has a vegetative growth type. It forms a single stem with suckers removed, which promotes better fruit development and ease of care. For planting, seedlings are recommended, sown on day 50-60 after sowing, or seeds can be sown directly into the soil at a depth of 1-1.5 cm. The optimal planting scheme is 40x60 cm, and cultivation is possible both in open ground and in unheated polyethylene greenhouses.
The AZOV tomato fruits are round, bright red, weighing 110 to 160 grams. They are characterized by firmness, good storability, and transportability, making this variety universal for fresh consumption, summer salads, and preservation. The plant forms simple, compact inflorescences with 6-8 fruits, and high fruit set is maintained even under less favorable growing conditions.
The crop is heat- and light-loving, prefers light, fertile soils, and responds well to fertilization, which contributes to high yields up to 9.7 kg per square meter. The hybrid is resistant to such diseases as tomato mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, verticillium wilt, and fusarium, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to tie plants to stakes and provide adequate care throughout the entire vegetative period.
