Tomato Amethis F1

Stability and Yield Potential

French breeding from the Clause company traditionally focuses on the balance between plant defense mechanisms and market appeal. Emetis F1 is a mid-early tomato that meets the needs of farmers looking for high-quality, large-fruited produce in the 200g+ segment. Unlike many varieties focused solely on flavor, this hybrid was designed as a workhorse for professional vegetable farming.

Plant Health as a Foundation for Success

A key feature of this tomato is its striking endurance against pathogens that commonly ruin harvests in both greenhouses and open fields. Genetic resistance to Fusarium, Verticillium, and Tomato Mosaic Virus spares growers from excessive pesticide treatments. Of particular note is its resistance to nematodes, making Emetis F1 an ideal choice for fields with accumulated soil infections where many other hybrids simply fail.

Marketability and Logistics

The flat-round fruit shape, combined with a rich red color, makes this tomato a benchmark for the fresh market. A dense skin structure ensures excellent transportability — the issue of micro-cracking during long-distance shipping is virtually eliminated. A ripening period of 90–100 days allows for precise harvest scheduling, which is critical for wholesale contracts.

• Strengths: High resistance to a complex of diseases, uniform large fruits, and long shelf life without loss of shape.
• Weaknesses: Requires monitoring of nitrogen levels during the active filling stage to prevent fruit deformation from over-fertilization.

This hybrid is optimal for farms supplying retail chains that demand predictability. Emetis F1 compensates for many agricultural technique errors due to its «genetic armor,» making it a reliable tool for both professional farmers and private growers aiming for guaranteed results.
