SS 79

SS 79 is a high-yielding sunflower hybrid designed for cultivation under various agro-ecological conditions. Plants reach a height of 140 to 190 cm, ensuring good stability and optimal development. The medium-early maturation period allows effective harvest planning, while the Granstar technology and resistance to imidazolinone herbicides (CLEARFIELD) provide reliable protection against pests and weeds.

The hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching 50-59 c/ha, and high oil content in seeds — from 47 to 49%. The variety is resistant to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew, rust, and powdery mildew, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss. Additionally, SS 79 exhibits drought tolerance and high nectar productivity, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones.

SS 79 sunflower seeds undergo special treatment: they are coated with a fungicidal protectant and microfertilizers, contain a polymer dye, and are packaged in convenient 150,000-seed bags.
