Description PR64A44
PR64A44 — a mid-early sunflower hybrid developed by Pioneer, intended for cultivation under various climatic conditions in Ukraine. The vegetation period ranges from 118 to 128 days depending on growing conditions. Plants reach a height of 145 to 190 cm, possess a strong and robust root system, which ensures resistance to lodging and promotes rapid early growth. The hybrid features a large leaf surface area and ecological plasticity, enabling successful use for early planting.

One of the key features of PR64A44 is its high oil content in seeds, which ensures significant oil yield per hectare. The hybrid has an optimal ear tilt, preventing sunburn and moisture accumulation on the underside, especially in the Central Chernozem region. Additionally, PR64A44 is an excellent self-pollinator, enhancing crop stability.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases: resistance to race A to E of downy mildew, tolerance to white and gray mold, as well as to race A of false powdery mildew. To achieve maximum yield potential, it is recommended to maintain optimal planting density — 55-60 thousand plants per hectare. PR64A44 represents a reliable and high-yielding choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality sunflower yields.
