Bombardir

The Bombardier sunflower hybrid is an early-maturing Serbian selection variety characterized by high field resistance and adaptability to various climatic conditions in Ukraine. It exhibits resistance to key pests such as the sunflower moth and sunflower weevil, as well as to seven strains of downy mildew, enabling successful cultivation even on infested soils. Thanks to its deep root system, the hybrid shows high drought tolerance and lodging resistance, which is especially important for southern regions of the country.

Bombardier features rapid early growth, promoting quick row closure and weed suppression. Plants are low-growing, ranging from 10 to 160 cm in height, with wide leaves that provide good soil shading and help retain moisture. The hybrid responds well to both traditional cultivation practices and intensive application of complex fertilizers and microelements, allowing for stable and high yields even under extreme conditions.

The hybrid's yield has been confirmed by practical results: across various regions of Ukraine, including Poltava and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts, it achieves 38.5–41.5 t/ha. The recommended seeding rate is 45–55 thousand seeds per hectare, depending on the cultivation zone — forest-steppe or central steppe. Due to its adaptability and disease resistance, Bombardier is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality sunflower yields.
