Description A28
Sorghum A28 is a hybrid variety intended for planting in Ukraine. It is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the grass family, characterized by high yield and drought resistance. The vegetative period of the variety ranges from 115 to 140 days, and plant height varies from 60 to 200 cm. The 1000-seed mass is within 28-30 g, and the grain may be red or white. Potential yields reach 120 centners per hectare for grain and 900 centners per hectare for silage, while actual yields are 32-38 centners per hectare.

Sorghum A28 is resistant to several diseases, including aphids, head smut, and bacterial blight, making it a reliable choice for agricultural production. The plant adapts well to various soil types, including both light and heavy soils, and requires planting at soil temperatures of 10-12°C. The root system is strong and deeply penetrating, contributing to drought resistance. The stem is upright, leaves are long and broad, and inflorescences are panicles up to 90 cm in length.

Variety A28 is widely used for producing grit, flour, and starch, as well as for animal feed for livestock and poultry. Due to its agronomic characteristics and high profitability, this variety is an important agricultural crop, meeting the needs of food, fodder, and technical sectors. Cultivation of sorghum A28 requires care, including loosening, weeding, and fertilization, and harvest is conducted at full maturity.
