SY AZTEK

SY AZTEK — a mid-season linoleic sunflower hybrid developed with European breeding achievements. It is characterized by stable high yield and high oil content, making it attractive for cultivation on fertile soils with high agronomic practices. Plants reach an average height of 170-190 cm and show moderate growth rates in early development stages. The hybrid has good pollen shedding, which promotes even seed formation and improves crop quality.

SY AZTEK exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases such as downy mildew, phomopsis, white mold, macrophomina, false powdery mildew, and phomosis. In addition, the hybrid is tolerant to most races of the sunflower moth (A-F), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. It also shows high resilience to temperature fluctuations, drought, and frost, enabling successful cultivation across various climatic regions of Ukraine, except extremely dry and hot areas.

To achieve maximum potential, it is recommended to use classical cultivation technology with early sowing and plant density control, which should be 40-45 thousand per hectare under insufficient moisture and 45-55 thousand under adequate moisture. The seed material is treated with the fungicide and insecticide Cruiser, providing additional protection against pests and diseases in early growth stages. Recommended cultivation zones cover central and northern regions of the Steppes, Forest-Steppe, and Polesie areas of Ukraine.
